Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who demonstrate a mature Christian faith and strong communication skills to teach LifeWise classes.

You will complete substitute training, implement LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe and orderly classroom, and collaborate with teachers and volunteers to ensure smooth lessons and adherence to policies.

Ideal candidates actively participate in a local church aligned with our beliefs and serve as community ambassadors for LifeWise Academy.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain Records
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
