Job summary

Truist is seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Fair Banking Advisory team within the Fair Banking & Regulatory Program (FBRP). You will support Fair Lending compliance across consumer lending products and collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Audit, Analytics, and business stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risk.

This role offers exposure to enterprise-wide regulatory initiatives and governance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent).
• Two years of compliance-related experience.
• Five years of financial institution experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of standard compliance concepts, practices, policies and related laws.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Leadership to guide and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations and provide regulatory guidance.
• Review regulatory changes and assess impact on units/functions.
• Manage compliance risk communications, training, documentation, procedures and processes.
• Monitor and communicate compliance risk management developments.
• Implement strategies related to the compliance risk management framework and oversight activities.
• Assess process and control documentation for audit/regulatory clarity.
• Consult with business units on remediation efforts as needed.
