Job summary

Truist is seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Fair Banking Advisory team. The role focuses on Fair Lending and Fair Banking compliance oversight across consumer lending products and units.

You will partner with Compliance, Risk, Audit, Analytics, and business stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate Fair Lending risk while ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will support complaint reviews, regulatory change management, monitoring, governance, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent
• Two years of compliance-related experience
• Five years of financial institution experience
• Detail oriented and analytical
• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to interact with all levels of management
• Leadership to guide and mentor junior staff

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of applicable laws and provide regulatory guidance to business units
• Review regulatory changes and assess impact on units/functions
• Manage compliance risk communications, training, documentation, procedures
• Monitor and communicate compliance risk management industry developments
• Implement strategies related to the compliance risk management framework and oversight
• Assess process and control documentation for audit and regulatory clarity
• Consult with units on remediation efforts as needed
