Job summary

Truist is seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Fair Banking Advisory team, supporting Fair Lending compliance oversight across consumer lending products, services, and business units. This role partners with Compliance, Risk, Audit and business stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate Fair Lending risk while aiding regulatory change management and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent).
• Two years of compliance-related experience.
• Five years of financial institution experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of standard compliance concepts, policies and laws.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of applicable laws and provide regulatory guidance to functions.
• Review regulatory changes and assess impacts on business units.
• Manage compliance risk communications, training, documentation, procedures.
• Monitor and communicate regulatory developments in the industry.
• Implement strategies within the compliance risk management framework.
• Assess process and control documentation for accuracy and audit readiness.
• Consult with units on remediation design and implementation.
