Job summary

Truist in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its Fair Banking Advisory team, focusing on Fair Lending and regulatory compliance oversight across consumer lending products and services.

The successful candidate will partner with Compliance, Risk, Audit, Analytics and business stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate Fair Lending risk while supporting regulatory change management, monitoring, and governance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• Two years of compliance-related experience.
• Five years of financial institution experience.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of standard compliance concepts, policies and laws.
• Detail orientated and strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills; interact with all levels of management.
• Leadership to guide and mentor junior compliance staff.
• Master's degree.
• 5 years of experience in financial services within audit or compliance.
• Prior supervisory or management experience.
• ABA Compliance School or CRCM certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations for coverage areas and provide regulatory guidance.
• Review regulatory changes and assess their impact on assigned business units.
• Manage compliance risk communications, training, documentation, procedures, and processes.
• Monitor and communicate compliance risk management industry developments.
• Implement strategies related to the compliance risk management framework with oversight data.
• Assess process documentation to ensure accuracy for audit/regulatory review.
• Consult with business units on remediation design and implementation.
