Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Compliance Officer within the Fair Banking Advisory team to oversee compliance across consumer lending products and business units. The role partners with Compliance, Risk, Audit and business stakeholders to identify and mitigate Fair Lending risk and ensure regulatory alignment.

Responsibilities include reviews of complaints, risk assessments, regulatory changes, and governance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent experience
• Two years of compliance-related experience
• Five years of financial institution experience
• Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to interact with all levels of management
• Leadership skills to mentor less experienced staff

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations and provide regulatory guidance to assigned units
• Review regulatory changes and assess impact on units/functions
• Manage compliance risk communications, training, documentation and processes
• Monitor and communicate compliance risk developments in the industry
• Implement strategies related to the compliance risk management framework and oversight
• Assess process and control documentation for accuracy for audit/regulators
• Consult with units on remediation design and implementation
