Job summary

Jobot is seeking a permanent Failure Analysis Engineer in Southern California to investigate root causes of product failures and drive corrective actions. The role requires expertise in IPC, oscilloscopes, LabVIEW, and NI TestStand, with a focus on reliability improvements across aerospace-related products.

The successful candidate will lead detailed analyses, report findings, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams while supporting customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in failure analysis or electrical testing, aerospace preferred.
• Proficient in IPC, Oscilloscopes, Failure Analysis, Test, LabVIEW, and NI TestStand.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed failure analysis on internal and customer returned products to identify root causes.
• Use IPC, oscilloscopes, LabVIEW, and NI TestStand for analysis and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Communicate findings to design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Lead continuous improvement to enhance reliability and performance.
• Document all failure analysis activities with results and recommendations.
• Collaborate with design to incorporate findings into improvements.
• Provide technical support to customers and field service engineers.
