Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 0-6 years of experience in engineering, product testing, quality, failure analysis, troubleshooting, or a related technical field.
• Experience with complex mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on evaluations of components, assemblies, and products when performance or reliability concerns are identified.
• Recreate reported issues through testing, inspection, measurement, and other appropriate engineering methods.
• Examine physical evidence, test results, available data, and product information to identify possible failure mechanisms and contributing factors.
• Conduct technical investigations involving product design, production processes, operating conditions, service activities, and other potential sources of an issue.
• Document investigation methods, observations, analysis, conclusions, and recommended actions in clear technical reports.
• Communicate technical findings to engineering and management teams and provide recommendations for next steps.
• Partner with design, manufacturing, supplier, service, and other technical groups to investigate issues and develop solutions.
• Assist with short-term corrective actions when necessary and participate in verifying that proposed solutions effectively address the identified problem.
• Review available product performance information to recognize recurring issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain ownership of assigned technical investigations and coordinate follow-up activities through resolution.
• Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve product reliability, performance, and overall customer experience.
