Ampere, a semiconductor design company in Santa Clara, seeks an experienced Failure Analysis Engineer to drive FI/FA strategy and hands-on fault isolation for its AI-focused silicon portfolio.

You will work with Design, DFT, Test, and Reliability teams to determine root causes and influence design-for-manufacturability for future generations, while engaging with internal and external FA labs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on semiconductor FI/FA experience.
• Deep understanding of CMOS device physics and FinFET technology.
• Hands-on expertise with failure analysis tools including SEM/FIB and TEM.
• Experience with RMA handling and QA interactions.

Aufgaben

• Develop and own FI/FA strategy for Ampere’s products.
• Lead complex failure analyses from wafer sort to customer returns.
• Perform EFI and guide PFA activities including sample prep and imaging.
• Correlate defects to electrical signatures and datalogs.
• Author clear, data-driven FA reports for stakeholders and leadership.
