Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer in San Jose, CA to investigate customer returns, field failures, and manufacturing escalations, performing deep root cause analysis at multiple levels.

The role collaborates with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and product teams to drive corrective actions for improved reliability. The position requires 2–3 years hands-on PCB experience, matches 2 Shifts, and offers a base salary of $70,000–$80,000 per year plus an annual discretionary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware at the system, board, or component level.
• Knowledge of Linux environments and hardware debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with server technologies, PCBA, circuit analysis, and failure analysis methodologies.
• Experience with Python, SQL, or similar scripting/programming languages is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware failure analysis on server and PCBA-level products.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and related equipment.
• Conduct root cause investigations for customer-returned and field-failure products.
• Analyze schematics, board layouts, and assembly drawings.
• Support RMA investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve hardware issues and improve product quality.
• Develop troubleshooting methodologies, test tools, and technical documentation.
