The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) seeks a highly motivated individual to work as a member of the college research leadership to build a strong, competitive research program as part of the Faculty Research Development Network led by the Office of the Vice President for Research. The Faculty Research Support Officer (FRSO) will contribute to the development of CAS proposals for external funding, assisting researchers in developing the non-technical portions of proposals, including evaluation and data management plans, project management plans, statements of significance or broader impacts, and compelling project summaries.
The FRSO will also advise researchers in grant budgeting, agency policies, and navigating the University proposal submission process. The successful candidate will have excellent writing, editing and problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team, managing multiple activities with firm deadlines. This position reports primarily to the Dean of Arts and Sciences.
