The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the Swanson School of Engineering (SSOE) invites applications for a faculty position in AI for health. We seek a research scholar and educator for a tenured or tenure-stream Professor (open rank) specializing in AI theory, software, and hardware for health applications, leveraging our strengths in health sciences and medical center collaborations. The start date is Fall 2025.
Founded in 1787, Pitt is among the oldest higher education institutions in the U.S., located in a vibrant and affordable city. The ECE Department, established in 1893, has a rich history of excellence in education, research, and service, with innovative programs and world-class research centers. The department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, with over 400 undergraduates and 170 graduate students, housed in state-of-the-art facilities.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in computer or electrical engineering or a related discipline. Applications are due by March 5, 2025, but review will continue until the position is filled.
