Job Description - Faculty. Professor - Full-Time (25001751)

The Department of Medicine - The Division of Malignant Hematology/Medical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking full-time faculty at the levels of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. Qualified applicants will be established investigators with a proven track record in extramural NIH funding. This position offers opportunities for translational research, clinical care, teaching, and mentoring of students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications:

• MD and BC/BE (Board Certified/Board Eligible) physicians and physician scientists.
• Proven record in extramural NIH funding and a strong publication record.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in research, patient care, and teaching activities.

Experience Requirements:

• Assistant Professor: three or more years of related scientific research, ability to obtain external research funding, peer-reviewed publications, significant teaching experience, and potential for career development.
• Associate Professor: five or more years of research, independent funding, substantial publications, leadership, and impact in the field.
• Professor: five to seven years as an Associate Professor, recognized authority in the field, with leadership and contributions to scholarship and professional practice.
