Job summary

North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC seeks a Faculty Excellence Portal Business Analyst to translate business needs into effective system solutions for the Faculty Excellence Portal. You will work with the Office for Faculty Excellence, campus stakeholders, and IT partners to analyze workflows, implement enhancements, and ensure reliable performance for faculty operations.

The role involves requirements gathering, testing, SME training, and ongoing support across multiple projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field and at least two years of relevant business analysis or enterprise application support experience.
• Experience configuring and supporting software applications, including managing system configuration, security, forms, reports, scheduled tasks, or comparable admin functions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while collaborating with stakeholders and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and develop functional specifications to design, configure, and enhance the Faculty Excellence Portal (FEP).
• Coordinate SDLC activities, manage requirements, and ensure on-schedule delivery with campus and IT partners.
• Perform testing, regression analysis, documentation, and post-deployment support to ensure system reliability and user satisfaction.
