North Carolina State University is seeking a Faculty Excellence Portal Business Analyst to join the Office for Faculty Excellence in Raleigh. The role focuses on translating business needs into effective system solutions for the Faculty Excellence Portal (FEP), collaborating with OFE, campus stakeholders, and IT partners to improve processes and user experience.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in IT or business administration and has 2+ years in business analysis or enterprise

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and supporting software applications, including managing system configuration, security, forms, reports, or similar admin tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and develop practical solutions.
• Experience through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines with stakeholders.
• Experience planning, executing, and documenting testing activities (functional/regression/UAT).
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Partner with OFE and campus stakeholders to analyze business needs and develop functional specs for the FEP application.
• Assist in designing and implementing cost-effective business solutions within FEP processes.
• Coordinate the SDLC activities from requirements through post-migration validation.
• Monitor progress and collaborate with IT partners to ensure on-schedule completion.
• Support configuration, testing, reporting, SME training, and ongoing operational support.
• Provide first-level support and manage user-reported issues with timely resolutions.
