Job summary

American Indian College Fund is seeking a Program Officer—Faculty Development to expand programming and support for tribal college faculty. You will help design and implement PD services, mentor faculty, and collaborate with funders to advance our mission.

The role requires strong relationship-building, program design, and data-driven evaluation across multiple institutions, with travel 3–4 times per year and hybrid/remotely based options in select states.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of professional work experience.
  • At least two years in a higher education setting working with faculty.
  • Ability to design, plan, and implement programs for faculty development.
  • Strong program and time management to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the faculty professional development programs across 34 TCUs.
  • Create and facilitate 1–3 faculty communities of practice.
  • Develop courses and workshops for faculty.
  • Identify faculty needing PD support and connect them with mentors/resources.
  • Plan and host virtual writing retreats each semester and mentorship programs.
  • Assist in designing the faculty conference agenda and provide planning support.
  • Co-administer the fellowship program with the coordinator.
  • Gather data and report on program impact and outcomes.
