Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
  • Minimum two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer.
  • Supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance experience.
  • Knowledge of educational theories and teaching techniques.

  • 40% Instructional: didactic, lab, and clinical instruction.

Duties and Responsibilities
40% Instructional Responsibilities
  • Engage in didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction asneeded.
  • Offer direction and guidance to students and clinical instructorsto optimize the learning experience.
  • Carry out all duties and responsibilities listed as a full-timefaculty.
  • Develop and implement remediation plans
20% Coordinate Clinical Education
  • Manage and organize clinical education activities.
  • Oversee the scheduling and assignment of students to clinicalsites.
  • Provide administration and supervision for all student clinicalexperiences.
  • Ensure continuous quality review and improvement of studentclinical experiences.
20% Evaluate and Document Student Performance
  • Ensure the documentation of student evaluations and trackprogression towards competence.
  • Develop and implement processes for evaluating studentperformance.
5% Curriculum Assessment and Development
  • Provide academic oversight for the concentration components ofthe program.
  • Participate in curriculum planning and development for theclinical education component.
5% Service
  • Contribute to the college and your discipline by collaboratingwith others and offering your service to the college and yourdiscipline
5% Professional Development
  • Engage in continual professional development activities as itrelates to pedagogy, assessment, and faculty area of expertise inorder to maintain and upgrade professional, instructional, andadministrative capabilities.
Required Education

Master'sDegree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Required Experience
  • Minimumtwo years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in theprofessional sonography field.
  • Documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation,student guidance and in educational theories and techniques
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
