Job summary

Peak Energy seeks a Sacramento-based IT System Administrator to own the site’s IT infrastructure for a 183,000 square-foot factory. You will install, configure, and maintain network cabling, Wi‑Fi, cameras, badge access, and conference rooms while coordinating with facilities and contractors.

You will support hourly production and engineers, lead onboarding/offboarding, and ensure security and device compliance across site endpoints, with a hands-on, field-oriented approach in a live buildout

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT experience in a factory or industrial setting.
• Ability to build out and manage IT infrastructure in a greenfield site.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, installers, and vendors.
• Strong networking knowledge including Wi‑Fi, switches, VLANs, DHCP/DNS.

Responsibilities

• Own IT infrastructure buildout at the Sacramento factory, including cabling, racks, wireless, and security systems.
• Provide end-user IT support for onsite staff, onboarding, imaging, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Manage IT/OT boundary with MES, PLCs, and industrial networks.
• Oversee security, patching, and device compliance for Sacramento devices.
• Coordinate with Facilities, EHS, and external vendors for buildouts and expansions.
