Job summary

Peak Energy Technologies Inc. seeks a Sacramento-based IT System Administrator to own the site’s IT buildout and ongoing operations at a 183,000 sq ft factory in Metro Air Park.

You’ll work hands-on—from cable pulls to provisioning new hires—and collaborate with Facilities, EHS, and engineering. The role requires 4+ years of IT and physical infrastructure experience, comfort in a construction setting, solid networking knowledge, and on-site presence five days a week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on IT experience, incl. physical infrastructure.
• Comfort in construction/industrial environments with PPE.
• Strong networking knowledge: Wi‑Fi, switches, VLANs, DHCP/DNS.
• Familiarity with Azure AD, Entra, and modern MDM/endpoint tools (Intune).
• Experience coordinating with contractors/vendors on IT installs.
• On-site at Sacramento facility 5 days/week, with possible extended hours.
• Excellent communicator with cross‑functional teams.
• On-site security and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own IT infrastructure buildout at the Sacramento factory: network cabling, patch panels, network closets, wireless access points, conference rooms, and physical security systems.
• Pull and terminate Ethernet and fiber runs across the facility; maintain cabling documentation.
• Coordinate with outside installers, electrical contractors, security integrators, and AV vendors during buildout and expansion.
• Stand up conference room AV, digital signage, and shift‑lead workstations across the factory floor and offices.
• Serve as the primary IT support contact for Sacramento employees: help desk, provisioning, imaging, endpoint management, on-site troubleshooting.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding for site workers in partnership with People team.
• Enforce IT/OT boundary policies and vendor relationships for ongoing operations.
