Job summary

Peak Energy Technologies Inc. in Burlingame, CA, seeks an IT System Administrator to own end-user support, workstation management, and SaaS administration for a fast-growing hardware and software team.

You’ll work closely with the Senior IT Manager, People, and Facilities to keep engineers productive, manage office infrastructure, security, and cross-site coordination with Sacramento and other sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on IT experience in a fast-growing company.
• Solid networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, switches, VLANs) and light physical work.
• Deep familiarity with Azure/Entra AD and MDM/Intune.
• Experience supporting engineers with CAD and high-performance computing needs.
• Understanding of security fundamentals: endpoint protection, access controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT support contact for Burlingame employees.
• Manage the equipment lifecycle across a growing employee population.
• Own new-hire IT onboarding and offboarding in partnership with People team.
• Support executives, engineers, and business teams with high-quality service.
• Maintain Burlingame office infrastructure: network, Wi-Fi, VoIP, printers, AV.
• Perform light cable runs and terminations for network drops and AV.
• Coordinate with Facilities on office moves and desk setups.
• Administer our SaaS stack — Entra AD, Atlassian, and tools used across engineering.
• Support identity and access management: SSO, MFA, provisioning, access reviews.
• Enforce endpoint compliance, patching, encryption, MDM policies.
• Support readiness for compliance frameworks — evidence gathering, access reviews, control operations.
• Enforce access controls and least-privilege in partnership with Senior IT Manager.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with IT vendors and MSPs.
• Partner with Sacramento IT System Administrator to align across sites.
• Support our Broomfield office on IT needs as required.
