Job summary

Peak Energy is seeking an IT System Administrator to own hands-on IT in our Burlingame office. The role focuses on end-user support, workstation management, SaaS administration, and light infra work to keep engineers and business teams productive.

You will partner with Sacramento for cross-site alignment, support a fast-growing team with CAD workstations, high-performance computing, and modern collaboration platforms, reporting to the Senior IT Manager.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on IT experience in a fast-growing/engineering-focused env.
• Solid networking basics: Wi-Fi, switches, VLANs, DHCP/DNS.
• Deep familiarity with Azure/Entra AD (SSO) and modern MDM tools (Intune).
• Support engineers with compute/workstation needs (CAD, high-performance computing).
• Knowledge of security fundamentals: endpoint protection, patching, access controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT support contact for Burlingame employees (help desk, provisioning, imaging, endpoint management).
• Manage equipment lifecycle: procurement, asset tracking, refresh cycles across growing staff.
• Own new-hire onboarding and offboarding in partnership with People team.
• Support executives, engineers, and business teams with responsive service.
• Maintain Burlingame office infrastructure: network, Wi‑Fi, VoIP, printers, AV, conference rooms, security systems.
• Administer SaaS stack (Entra AD, Atlassian) and identity/access management across SaaS ecosystem.
• Enforce endpoint compliance and security policies across Burlingame devices.
• Coordinate with Facilities on office moves and new hires; collaborate with Sacramento site.
