Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Factory Director Senior Leader for a new Virginia-based manufacturing plant. Relocation offered. Role covers safety, production, engineering, project management and scheduling to deliver on-time, with strong focus on cost, quality and inventory control.

The candidate will oversee a large manufacturing campus adjacent to existing plants, manage a team, and implement ITM-driven improvements while ensuring ethical leadership and compliance with safety directives.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical undergraduate degree; MBA preferred.
• Total 16 years of experience with at least 7 years in leadership; transformer experience preferred.
• Experience leading in a lean management system or lean operating system.
• Must have US work authorization; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall manufacturing operations of the organization and staff in operations (SEOP).
• Implement continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce costs via ITM system.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment; ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental directives; monitor progress.
• Develop and execute plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increase revenue, and deliver products on time with high yields; drive ITM maturity.
• Demonstrate unquestionable business ethics and conduct.
