Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Factory Director Senior Leader for a new Virginia manufacturing plant in South Boston. Relocation offered.

The role oversees all plant operations including HSE, production, engineering, project management and scheduling, with accountability for safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory and cost. The candidate should have an engineering undergrad degree, 16+ years of experience with at least 7 in leadership, and experience in transformers and lean management.

Qualifications

• 16 years of overall experience with minimum 7 years in leadership roles.
• Transformer experience preferred.
• Experience in lean management systems or similar.
• Strong strategic development and multi-factory operations background.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all manufacturing operations and staff for the factory site.
• Implement continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce costs within ITM framework.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance and reporting.
• Drive on-time delivery, quality, inventory control, and cost management.
• Develop plans to reduce non-value-added costs and increase supplier yields.
• Uphold strong ethics and governance across the operation.
