Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Supply Chain in Olive Branch, MS is seeking a Facility Technician II for on-site maintenance. The role requires reading work orders, performing repairs, and using a CMMS. You will communicate by email and phone, coordinate materials, and support continuous improvement across departments.

The position covers a Sunday–Tuesday 5:00 pm–5:00 am and Wednesday 5:00 pm–11:00 pm shift, with a 24/7 operation mindset and safety‑minded approach.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years in general maintenance/construction (roofing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc).
  • Onsite and in-office role.
  • Flexibility with work hours including holidays.
  • Ability to drive (WSI forklift) and operate tools safely.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring, drywall, carpentry.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain and perform repairs, maintenance and improvements.
  • Read, interpret and implement work orders.
  • Use a CMMS/work order system.
  • Communicate verbally and via email; use strong interpersonal skills.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks with tools and equipment.
  • Assist other Maintenance Technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain and perform minor repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
  • Read, interpret, and implement work orders.
  • Use a CMMS (work order system).
  • Effectively communicate verbally, written, and via e‑mail.
  • Use strong interpersonal skills and be safety‑minded.
  • Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and understand resources to accomplish tasks.
  • Gather needed materials to complete repairs and work orders.
  • Accurately track and store the department’s inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement within all departments.
  • Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on‑site, including electrical knowledge, lighting (interior & exterior), rack and guard railing maintenance, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and understanding of pneumatic systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks using tools and equipment.
  • Assist other Maintenance Technicians repairing and maintaining equipment.
  • Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in general maintenance/construction, including roofing, carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, electrical, building construction, or a related trade/technical school equivalency.
  • Onsite and in‑office role.
  • Flexibility with work hours and days (24 hour, 7 days a week operation, including holidays).
  • Ability to drive (PID) powered industrial trucks inclusive of people movers and forklifts (WSI certification required).
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring repairs, drywall repairs, and carpentry work.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience to safely operate a wide array of hand and power tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently, with flexibility, and self‑reliance.
  • Ability to perform under pressure with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualities
  • Commercial experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work at heights and in unusual positions.
  • Ability to safely operate all hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and handcarts.
  • Tolerate exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and work around moving equipment while working in uncomfortable positions.
  • Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
  • Occasionally exposed to repetitive motion work. Noise level usually moderate.
  • Comfortable with walking/standing 100 % of the day.
