About the Position
The Conveyor Technician II is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on all material handling equipment (MHE) and facilities building systems. The role includes repair and improvement of automation, MHE, building infrastructure, robotics, personalization equipment, electrical controls, lighting, plumbing, welding, carpentry, pneumatic systems, and more. The technician will use a CMMS work‑order system, communicate effectively, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and improve automation, MHE, building, and infrastructure.
- Use a CMMS (work‑order) system to log and track work.
- Communicate verbally, in writing, and via e‑mail; use strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintain safety standards and perform risk assessments.
- Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and use available resources to complete tasks.
- Gather needed materials and tools to complete repairs/work orders.
- Accurately track and store inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement across departments.
- Adapt to flexible work hours, 24‑hour operations, and holidays.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (including people movers and forklifts); required to complete WSI certification.
- Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on‑site, including:
- Material handling systems
- Robotics systems
- Personalization equipment and systems
- Electrical controls
- Lighting (interior and exterior)
- Rack and guard railing
- Plumbing
- Welding
- Carpentry
- Pneumatic systems
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Assist other maintenance technicians with facilities and systems maintenance.
- Perform battery changes and preventive battery maintenance.
- Understand equipment operation and performance requirements.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail and prioritize tasks aligned with company goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance supporting MHE or facilities building systems, or equivalent trade/technical education.
- On‑site, in‑office role.
- Flexibility with work hours and days, including 24‑hour operations and holidays.
- Ability to drive (PIT) powered industrial trucks, including people movers and forklifts; must complete WSI certification.
Physical Requirements
- Work at heights and in unusual positions.
- Operate hand tools safely.
- Lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet‑jacks, and handcarts.
- Tolerate heat, cold, noise, dust, and movement in uncomfortable positions.
- Manual dexterity in eye/hand coordination and wrist motion.
- Work conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, loud noise, vibration, standing on concrete, wet or uneven surfaces, repetitive motion, and moderate noise levels.
- Walk and stand 100% of the day.
