Job summary

Simon Property Group in Pittsburgh is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain the center’s mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural systems, ensuring safety and a clean environment for shoppers and tenants.

The role covers inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with Marketing and Local Leasing for events, with availability for flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years building maintenance experience across carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Ability to read plans and schematics; communicate clearly with management and tenants.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Perform interior/exterior maintenance such as painting, drywall, lighting, and repairs.
• Operate maintenance equipment and keep logs; ensure safety and compliance.
• Support Marketing and Local Leasing with event setup and cart placement/repair.
• Maintain inventory, MSDS sheets, supplies, and tools; follow OSHA standards.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
