Job summary

Simon Property Group in Columbia Center (Kennewick, WA) seeks a hands-on Building Maintenance Technician accountable for the mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems and related structural elements of the center. The role includes routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, well-maintained property.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing minor repairs, coordinating with Marketing for events, maintaining logs, and upholding OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing functions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings; communicate effectively with management, tenants and vendors.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate various maintenance tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and troubleshoot/mechanically repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing and structural systems.
• Perform interior and exterior maintenance tasks including painting, drywall, lighting, and curb/sidewalk care.
• Run preventive maintenance programs and maintain logs, inventory, MSDS sheets and tools.
• Support other departments (Marketing, Local Leasing) for events and cart placement/repair.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
