Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a senior leader to oversee Life Safety and Environment of Care within the Facility's Emergency Preparedness program. The role leads safety and emergency management, serving as the officer for these areas.

Responsibilities include staff hiring/coaching, organizing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating life safety testing, and maintaining required documentation.

Qualifications

• Staff management and development experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of safety and emergency management principles.
• Ability to navigate regulatory requirements and Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities

• Hire and terminate staff; coach and develop; manage performance and productivity.
• Plan and direct day‑to‑day operations; set policies and programs.
• Ensure compliance with authorities (Safety, Fire, Life Safety).
• Schedule and oversee Life Safety testing/Environment of Care inspections with vendors.
• Maintain EOCare and Life Safety paperwork per Joint Commission standards.
• Lead Environment of Care, Safety, and Disaster Committees; act as Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.
• Manage fire drills and conduct fire door inspections and interim Life Safety assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
