Job summary

Florida Department of Corrections in Northwest Florida Reception Center is seeking a Plumber for the Maintenance Department. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with plumbing experience (1 year) or 4+ years in the trade, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of plumbing experience OR four+ years of plumbing trade experience.
• A valid Driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, LP gas supply, waste collection, and potable water.
• Read blueprints, plan work, supervise inmates, and maintain records and logs.
• Inspect and test plumbing installations and equipment; train inmates in plumbing tasks.
