Job summary

SONBH is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance of the facility, equipment, and grounds, ensuring safe and compliant operations. You will plan, direct, and monitor maintenance programs and coordinate with outside vendors as needed, while upholding regulatory requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, five or more years in a similar position, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in facilities management or operations.
• Five or more years' experience in similar position required.
• One or more years' of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the activities involved in the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Responsible for building operations including structural maintenance.
• Responsible for regulatory and building code compliance.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of department staff.
• Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
• Ensure safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Serve as project manager for small scale, short duration projects.
• Develop and manage budget and inventory systems.
• Manage the activities involved in the design and renovation projects for a facility.
• Analyze metrics and make recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified.
• Initiate and authorize repairs or replacements and prepare related cost estimates.
• Be on-call for building emergencies.
• Responsible for facility operational effectiveness and safety.
