Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a security and access control support role in Milwaukee. The position involves assisting with facility access control, monitoring building systems, and coordinating site activities under general direction.

You will manage access points, credentialing, alarms, and event-related communications, while interfacing with security and emergency responders. Training and safety procedures are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Aptitude for learning and managing building technical systems.
• Must be able to follow very specific instructions and accurately process documents.
• Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be a team player committed to working in a diverse environment.
• Requires ability to manage multiple functions at a time including cameras, telephones, two-way radios, and visitor/contractor access points.

Responsibilities

• Control building access points and associated credentials.
• Open doors and gates using the access control systems.
• Check out keys for contractors and vendors using proper credential process.
• Assist with customer and other departmental visitors and guests’ access.
• Document all access activity and arena events.
• Manage the Stadium/Arena Control Command Center log.
• Monitor entire camera system for internal and external site status.
• Monitor and control BAS, lighting, HVAC, and security systems.
• Review and interpret emails, calendars and checklists for event management tasks.
• Respond to and manage all system alarm conditions.
• Turn lighting on and off through lighting control systems.
• Make temperature adjustments through BAS.
• Interface with local law enforcement and fire department entities.
