Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose problems and perform service on card access, CCTV, and related building systems at customer sites.

You will provide reliable solutions and ensure efficient operation of facilities, often requiring on‑call and travel as needed. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, installation, inspection, programming, reading blueprints, and delivering clear service reports while maintaining high safety standards and customer

Qualifications

• 2+ years documented experience with card access and CCTV.
• Ability to read blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming access and CCTV systems.
• Fire alarm experience is a plus.
• Must pass background and drug tests and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on access, CCTV and fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Provide high level service and practical solutions to improve facility efficiency.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals to repair equipment.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to install and commission systems.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through clear communication and accurate service reports.
• Stay flexible with hours; participate in on‑call emergency service as needed.
• Prepare quotes and recommendations for improving system performance.
