Job summary

JLL in New York is seeking a Mechanic Engineer to operate and maintain a premier commercial property, ensuring a safe, efficient and comfortable environment for tenants.

You will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, perform routine assessments of building systems, and collaborate with a team to deliver reliable building performance. Schedule is Thursday through Monday, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., with compensation of $46.12 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operating/building engineering experience in a commercial setting.
• Must possess certifications: S12, S13, A35, and P98.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Safety and cleanliness: maintain a safe and clean work environment and report hazards.
• Routine assessments and rounds of all building systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance of building equipment and systems.
• Painting and housekeeping to maintain facility aesthetics and functionality.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and hot water systems; diagnose issues.
• Tenant services: respond to and perform services for tenants promptly.
• Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper operation and integration.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain documentation.
