The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Education & Labor Cabinet, Department of Education, announces a Facility Maintenance Worker I opening at the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville. Responsibilities include maintaining bathrooms, cleaning fixtures, floors, and general janitorial duties across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bathrooms, clean fixtures, and keep toiletries supplied.
• Clean windows and door glass inside and out.
• Wash lockers, walls and fixtures when needed.
• Clean and dust furniture, desks, chairs, and tables as needed.
• Clean janitor closets and equipment daily.
• Scrub, buff and wax floors.
• Clean floors by dust mopping and wet mopping as needed.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and stairs.
• Collect and dispose of trash in any area.
• Sweep and hose down debris from sidewalks and other areas.
