Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will inspect, maintain and build new buildings, perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service across multiple sites, using hand and power tools in collaboration with fellow technicians.

This role emphasizes preventive maintenance, roof inspections, and timely work requests. You will track company vehicle usage and participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U‑Haul).
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
• Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Keep track of company truck and gas card.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U‑Haul education through U‑Haul University.
