Job summary

Planet Fitness in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the club safe, clean, and fully operational. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility upkeep to ensure members and staff have a positive experience in a well-maintained environment.

You will work closely with club management to complete work orders promptly, minimize downtime, and uphold Planet Fitness brand standards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to diagnose and repair equipment and facilities.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility maintenance to keep the club safe, clean and operational.
• Inspect and service fitness equipment, tanning beds, and other amenities; coordinate repairs.
• Maintain HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, and general club spaces.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies; keep logs and records up to date.
