Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep a busy club safe, clean, and fully operational. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair cardio and strength equipment to minimize downtime and maintain brand standards.

You will work closely with club management, handle work orders, and uphold safety guidelines while providing a welcoming, well-maintained environment for members and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Complete preventative maintenance on fitness equipment and club facilities.
• Repair or coordinate repairs for cardio and strength equipment and other amenities.
• Maintain HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical components, doors, floors, ceilings, and walls.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
• Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance logs and coordinate with vendors for warranty work.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with codes.
