Job summary

Planet Fitness in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold a clean, safe, and fully operational club environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime while ensuring a positive experience for members and staff.

You will work closely with club management to handle work orders promptly, document maintenance actions, and adhere to Planet Fitness brand standards.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a commercial facility preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and logs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance inspections to identify needs and safety concerns.
• Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Repair or coordinate repairs for cardio, strength, tanning, and other amenities.
• Maintain HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, doors, and flooring.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Maintain maintenance logs and coordinate with vendors.
