The Jay Group is seeking a Facility Maintenance team member for a full-time, on-site role in Houston, TX. You will perform routine inspections, minor repairs, and coordinate with vendors to keep warehouse and office spaces safe and fully operational.

You will monitor lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems, respond quickly to maintenance requests, document activities, and support uninterrupted logistics operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Role Description

The Facility Maintenance role is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX, responsible for ensuring that warehouse and office environments are clean, safe, and fully operational. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, conducting minor repairs on building systems and equipment, and coordinating with external vendors for specialized maintenance work. This role supports facility readiness by monitoring lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems, and responding promptly to maintenance requests from operations and office teams.

The Facility Maintenance team member will also help maintain compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, assist with setup and rearrangement of workspaces, and document maintenance activities to support efficient, uninterrupted logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on facility maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repair.
• Experience with warehouse or industrial environments, including equipment maintenance and safe operation of tools.
• Knowledge of safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and ability to identify and address potential hazards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and scheduled tasks.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with operations staff, leadership, and external service providers.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, standing, and working in varied environmental conditions.
• Previous experience in facility, building, or warehouse maintenance; experience in logistics or distribution centers is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, facilities management) are beneficial.
