Job summary

Methodist Health System in Dallas seeks a Facility HIM Supervisor to lead day-to-day HIM operations, including records processing, release of information, and unbilled activity resolution. This on-site role partners with HIM leadership and facility teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient workflow.

You will coach staff, monitor productivity and quality, enforce policies, and collaborate with medical staff and department leaders to maintain high standards of medical record management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a certified HIM program with HIM experience preferred.
• RHIA/RHIT credentials preferred.
• Paternity certification acknowledged.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facility HIM operations and staff including pick up, reconciliation, and release of information.
• Coordinate with HIM personnel, facility departments, and leadership on workflows and projects.
• Handle patient amendments according to policies and guidelines.
• Perform unbilled activities including physician query follow up and incomplete record follow up.
• Complete weekly physician suspension processes and report to hospital leadership.
• Collaborate with Medical Staff and Facility Leadership to comply with bylaws and facilitate physician notifications.
• Maintain relationships with ancillary departments and unit managers for record management.
• Coach and develop team members with productivity and quality monitoring.
