Job summary

Homestead Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance position to uphold grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe, efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and policies.

Responsibilities include following maintenance schedules, reporting incidents, coordinating with nursing services, and performing routine upkeep of the facility. Strong emphasis on confidentiality of resident information and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules as outlined for respective shift or area.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., and on facility equipment.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems as specified by the manufacturer and per policies.
