Job summary

Forest Grove Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Worker to keep the facility, grounds, and equipment safe and well‑maintained. You will follow scheduled tasks, report incidents, and coordinate with nursing staff to support resident care standards.

The role requires basic education (10th grade) and the ability to follow instructions, work with others, and perform physical tasks. Training will include safety procedures and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors.
• Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment in work areas.
• Seek out new methods and principles and be willing to adopt them.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for shifts or areas.
• Report all accidents/ incidents to supervisor.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services in resident areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, facilities, and equipment.
• Assist in lifting heavy objects as directed.
• Ensure facility and equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort.
