Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring for a full-time position in Marana, AZ. The role entails leading facility fire, safety and risk management programs in compliance with MTC and customer directives.

A $34.97 per hour wage and full-time benefits are offered. Responsibilities include developing safety programs, coordinating fire inspections and ensuring proper protection equipment is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year experience in risk management, loss control, worker's compensation or related field.
• Bachelor's degree strongly desired; preservice training required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal safety regulations.
• Ensure adequate fire protection services are provided and available to the facility.
• Perform, arrange and coordinate fire inspections and testing of equipment on a frequent, scheduled basis.
• Arrange and coordinate annual inspections by local or state fire officials or other qualified person or entity.
• Ensure availability of fire hoses or extinguishers at appropriate locations throughout the facility.
• Maintain up to date inspections of fire extinguishers and all safety devices.
• Establish, manage, and monitor safety training programs for facility staff members and detainees on the facility.
• Develop and maintain a system for reviewing and compliance with safety and fire prevention standards and training.
• Establish and coordinate monthly safety committee meetings within specified requirements of company policy or established facility policy.
• Conduct accident review committees following all accidents.
