Job Description Summary:
The Facility Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall facility maintenance, including coordinating with building owners, and outside vendors in defining maintenance requirements and services. Ensure maintenance of HVAC system, exhaust systems, A/C units, air compressor, fire abatement equipment and site electrical systems. Also, has oversight of engineering activities within a semiconductor clean room space.
Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Create annual cost forecasting for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for building, support systems, and manufacturing equipment
• Submit annual capital projects proposals for facility improvements, repairs, and energy efficiency upgrades
• Directs the building, equipment maintenance, and cleanroom cleaning staff.
• Plan, scope, and initiate construction projects in collaboration with contractors, architects, and engineers.
• Manages all shipping and receiving activities
• Ensures equipment calibration schedules are maintained, and new equipment is inspected
• Oversees hazardous waste management program, documentation, and employee training.
• Coordinates space allocation and layouts within the facility and chases
• Manages inventory audit and provides inventory count reports
• Creates and submits purchase requisitions for supplies and project requirements
• Proposes and manages expenditures for both the facility and equipment in the clean room
• Ensures compliance with the Environmental Health and Safety program
• Oversee application of ISO or AS9 standards within the facility and maintain certification.
• Ensures the clean room facilities meet technical needs and workmanship standards.
• Ensures building control system alarms are investigated and quickly resolved.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to understand semiconductor fabrication processes and processing equipment
• Ability to direct improvement initiatives aimed at process advancement and yield improvement
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and service providers on a daily basis.
• Ability to manage vendors related to high complexity systems and equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Education:
Bachelors in facility engineering or related field.
Experience:
10+ years experience in a similar capacity, supporting multidisciplinary facility operations and management.
Additional Job Description:
Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Top secret clearance is required.
