Position Overview

QinetiQ US seeks motivated staff to support the NRO Office of Space Launch (OSL) Enterprise by providing technical and engineering assessments related to space launch facilities and missions. Experience with the NRO and space launch operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead and participate in project teams to develop facility electrical systems, including conceptual and final designs, and prepare cost estimates.
  2. Support construction activities for electrical systems, equipment installations, utilities, and grounds.
  3. Review electrical designs for compliance with customer requirements, codes, and regulations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  4. Maintain accuracy of electrical drawing archives and oversee contractor redline reviews.
  5. Monitor project progress, review contractor proposals, and ensure documentation of construction changes for regulatory compliance.
  6. Assist in producing detailed design documents using tools like SKM Power Tools, lighting software, and AUTOCAD, adhering to standards such as NEC and UB C.
  7. Translate customer requirements into design options, selecting appropriate materials and equipment.
  8. Develop preventive maintenance procedures and update design standards and operating procedures.
  9. Conduct infrastructure planning, electrical studies, and analyze current and future requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • TS/SCI clearance with CI/Polygraph
  • At least 2 years of experience related to the NRO

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • MS in STEM
  • 4+ years of total experience
