Position Overview:

We seek motivated staff to support the NRO Office of Space Launch (OSL) with technical and engineering assessments related to space launch facilities, especially candidates with NRO experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and participate in designing facility electrical systems, including conceptual, final designs, and cost estimates.
  2. Support construction activities for electrical systems, equipment, utilities, and grounds.
  3. Review electrical designs for compliance with requirements, codes, and regulations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  4. Maintain accurate electrical drawing archives and oversee contractor redlines.
  5. Identify errors, document construction changes, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  6. Review proposals, interface with agencies, monitor project progress, and support project documentation and presentation.
  7. Assist in producing detailed design documents using tools like SKM Power Tools, lighting software, and AUTOCAD, following standards such as NEC and UBC.
  8. Translate customer needs into design options, materials, and estimates.
  9. Develop preventive maintenance procedures and update standards and procedures for site operations.
  10. Participate in infrastructure planning, conduct electrical studies, and analyze current and future needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • TS/SCI clearance with CI/Polygraph
  • At least 2 years of experience with the NRO
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • MS in STEM
  • 4+ years of total experience
