Job description

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Maintenance Facility Engineer III to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on buildings, building systems, and grounds in accordance with Park Nicollet's standard practices. Ensures optimum efficiency and reliability of life safety systems, non-regulated patient care equipment, and facility systems across all PNHS clinic locations. Troubleshoots issues with these systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Operate independently and collaboratively with coworkers and contractors.
  2. Maintain knowledge of Incident Command procedures and complete mandatory training.
  3. Manage priorities for unplanned work alongside scheduled maintenance.
  4. Act as liaison to internal clients, including clinic staff, patients, and leadership.
  5. Educate facility occupants on system operations for safety and comfort.
  6. Assess operational decisions' impacts on safety, compliance, finance, and energy.
  7. Assist in adopting new maintenance systems or products.
  8. Support strategic maintenance operations and collaborate with clinic staff.
  9. Provide work direction to coworkers and contractors.
  10. Participate in major projects, communicating operational requirements clearly.
Work Schedule:

FTE 1.0, 40 hours per week, days, Monday - Friday.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Associate degree in a related field with 10 years of experience or 15 years of directly related experience.
  2. Ability to perform mechanical repairs and renovations on plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, etc.
  3. First Class Engineer License required within six months of hire.
