Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. seeks a diligent janitorial associate to maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly facilities across assigned areas.

You will perform high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and grounds maintenance while ensuring guest areas remain welcoming and safe. Responsibilities include following established cleaning procedures, inspecting spaces for safety, and assisting supervisory staff with routine tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations and routines.
• Understanding of safe work practices and hazard awareness.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and MSDS guidelines.
• Ability to operate basic janitorial equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform high dusting to clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitize and spot-clean surfaces, door handles, and walls.
• Clean bathrooms with germicidal solutions and stock supplies.
• Empty trash and replace liners in specified areas.
• Dust, mop, and vacuum floors; reach under furniture.
• Attend grounds and public common areas, clean glass where needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in food court tables and seating areas.
• Sanitize floors using proper germicidal solutions and ensure safe drying.
• Review cleaning steps and verify room is left in presentable condition.
• Provide courteous customer service and report maintenance issues.
