Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a janitorial associate to perform cleaning tasks across assigned facilities, ensuring clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions. Responsibilities include high dusting, sanitizing surfaces, bathroom care, trash removal, floor care, and maintenance of public and food court areas.

Ideal candidates will follow written and verbal instructions, operate cleaning equipment safely, and maintain a courteous, low-noise presence while satisfying daily cleaning targets.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of janitorial work.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Physical ability to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height and cleaning in a we-formed pattern.
• Sanitizing and spot cleaning of surfaces below shoulder height with germicidal solutions.
• Bathroom cleaning in specified order; sanitize, wipe, and check dispensers daily.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners; handle waste properly.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming with proper technique and under furniture.
• Grounds care: outdoor areas cleaning, trash removal, and maintenance.
• Public areas: dust mopping, spot mopping, and glass cleaning throughout the day.
• Food court: clean and sanitize tables, remove trash, wash trays.
• Floor sanitizing: mop and clean under furniture and behind doors.
• Inspect room after cleaning and address issues to prevent complaints.
• Customer relations: be courteous, quiet, and helpful to patrons; report issues.
