Job summary

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Aurora, IL, seeks a full-time site supervisor to lead food packing shifts, manage facilities support, and ensure safety, quality and compliance. You will engage volunteers with hospitality, storytelling, and donor outreach while coordinating maintenance with vendors and site leadership.

The role emphasizes coaching peers, maintaining clean, food-safe operations, and acting as on-site food safety contact. Leadership experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food packing operations during shifts and delegate tasks.
• Provide on-the-spot coaching and escalate issues as needed.
• Lead site-level facilities support and coordinate with property management and vendors.
• Maintain safety standards and support inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Create welcoming volunteer experiences through public speaking and storytelling.
• Orchestrate packing sessions and manage volunteers and logistics.
• Back-up forklift operations training provided if needed.
